About Chris Timmons

Chris is an experienced Horseman and has ridden over 50 winners as a NH jockey, including winners in France and Germany. He has spent time working for some top trainers around the world and developed his skills along the way. Whilst still riding, Chris returned to study and obtained a BA Hons Degree in Business Studies. After completing a 3 month internship at Citibank in Dublin, he realised that a career in the corporate world wasn't for him. Horses are his passion and in mid 2021 he took the big step and took out his own trainers license.  He has made a bright start, with 17 winners and numerous placings so far.

He has also selected some good horses at auction for modest sums, some of the most notable being Photosynthesis, who won his 2yo maiden for Chris, before being sold and turning into a progressive sprinter.

Divus Romulus, sold to Australia after one eye catching run for the team. He has now won twice down under and was among the entries for the 2024 Melbourne Cup. War Flight (Loyal Baby) was bought by Chris as a foal.  He now has career earnings of over €500,000 in Hong Kong.

Hard working and ambitious, Chris is determined to make a success of the business and take the yard to next level.

About joanne lavery

Joanne was introduced to horses by her aunt, Sheila Lavery, who is a successful Racehorse Trainer. Having started out on ponies she developed into a talented Polocrosse rider, representing Ireland at 4 World cups, most recently in South Africa 2024, where the team finished a very respectable 5th, behind some of the bigger established nations of the sport.  Joanne has also evented up to 2* level and her dressage riding is a valuable asset for doing flatwork with the racehorses.  Whilst working part time for her aunt, during her college years, Joanne got bitten by the racing bug.  She then began to pinhook foals.

The most notable being Lady Kaya,  who won her 2yo maiden impressively at the Curragh by 10 lengths, before finishing 2nd in the Moyglare stakes G1.    As a 3yo she won the guineas trials at Leopardstown G3  then finished a close second in the English 1,000 Guineas.   Joanne has keen interest in equine nutrition and looking after horses legs, she also does a lot of the office work and payroll, allowing Chris to focus more on training, race planning and liaising with owners.
