At Chris Timmons Racing, our main focus is providing a safe and nurturing environment for our horses to thrive.  Our yard is nestled away in a quiet country location, yet within 45 minutes of many of the top racecourses in Ireland. Horses seem happy and relaxed here.  The stables are modern, bright and airy. We have 35 acres of well fenced turnout paddocks, as well as 6 all weather turnout paddocks. Horses are turned out as often as possible, weather permitting. We are very fortunate to have one of the few ECB water treadmills in Ireland, it is particularly useful for building top-line and for recovery post race, as the water is chilled to 2 degrees. Outside of the gate is a 5km stretch of country road, which is great for hacking and a change of scenery for horses. We are constantly striving to improve every aspect of our stable. Most recently we added a new equine halo salt room, that can accommodate 4 horses at once.  It is very beneficial for the respiratory system and promotes healthy skin.  Our gallop is a 2.5 furlong sand and fibre surface and is perfect for conditioning work. Plans are in the pipeline for the construction of a 5 furlong straight gallop and the addition of 3 new wash bays, . We have the facilities here to prepare any horse to compete at the highest level. Skryne Gallops, the Curragh training grounds and Dundalk racecourse within a reasonable driving distance for any away days.  Beach trips are also regular and the horses love it.
